Many rural Christians do not have immediate face to face opportunuty to read and reflect on scripture. During the Covid Global Pandemic, together with other colleagues I started regular Sunday services and a weekly Bible Study. Once life was back to normal, we dropped the Sunday services but were asked to continue the Bible studies.
These have developed into interactive weekly Bible-based discussions that are free for anyone to join. I am keen to encourage people to engage with scripture and to let scripture engage with them. Recent sessions include, Ephesians, John's Gospel, the Lord's Prayer, and Galatians.
Meetings are on Tuesday evenings, 19.30 BST using Zoom and last about an hour. Afterwards there is an opportunity for prayer.
There is plenty of opportunity to ask questions or to make comments. While most of us use the New International Version, everyone is free to use a version they find helpful. As this is a discussion, rather than a teaching session, some opinions might vary, In the main, it's a great way to make the Bible come alive!
Recordings of past discussions are availabe on YouTube and helpful links will be appearing on this page.
These discussions are conducted on the basis of mutual respect. Send me an email explaining why you would like to participate, a few lines about who you are and a very short summary if you have a personal faith story to share.
